Louisville’s Peer Metros in Housing Stability: Median Home Values

Louisville’s Peer Metros in Housing Stability: Median Home Values

The second metric in our analysis of which metropolitan areas are the true peers for Louisville in housing stability—is median home values. We can connect this one more directly to housing stability in comparison to population numbers. The graph below shows that the two metros we found to be the overall closest to Louisville are also closest in median home values. With Louisville’s 2024 median home value (MHV) at $265,900, the first and second metro values are just below that. Out of the remaining metros, the one that stands out is the metro that was the fourth closest overall with a median home value over $300,000, well above the Louisville’s MHV and that of the other metros.

We look forward to sharing more details on these metros and to begin the comparison process in earnest. Be sure to subscribe to gain a front seat view of the findings.
